University of Minnesota Extension delivers high-quality, relevant educational programs and information to Minnesota citizens and communities. Extension is a 100-year old partnership between federal, state and county governments. Based in regional and county offices, research and outreach centers, and other community settings across the state, Extension brings scientific knowledge and expertise to the public as a central part of the University’s mission as a land-grant research university serving the public good.

Through Extension, educators and researchers address the most pressing issues facing Minnesota, with program clusters in the areas of community development and vitality; agriculture, food, and environment; youth development; and family life.
