The Healthy Foods, Healthy Lives (HFHL) Institute increases and sustains the University’s impact in the interdisciplinary arena of food, agriculture, and health by building capacity in research, learning, and community engagement.
Institute programs bring together University students and faculty from across the system and state, as well as colleagues from other institutions, public officials, and professionals from Minnesota and beyond.
Reporting to the U of M system senior vice president for academic administration, the institute originated as a University of Minnesota Presidential Initiative in 2003 and is fiscally administered by the College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS).
