Dear Twin Cities Students, Faculty and Staff:
As you know, important work is being done as part of the University's
strategic positioning process. President Bruininks has recently assigned
two task forces to work on the next phase of the strategic positioning
process: the Academic Strategic Positioning Task Force and the Administrative
Strategic Positioning Task Force. As part of the Task Forces' efforts to
solicit input from the University community, there will be two open forums
on the Twin Cities campus:
Wednesday, February 9, 2005 from 2:30 - 4:00 pm
33 McNeal Hall (St. Paul)
Tuesday, February 15, 2005 from 3:30 - 5:00 pm
125 Science Classroom Building (East Bank)
The purpose of these forums is to gather suggestions, comments, and ideas
from our students, faculty, and staff. Using the criteria and action
strategies described in the strategic positioning document, what are your
ideas and suggestions for change - how can the University improve
operations, create efficiencies and academic synergies, and position
ourselves as one of the top three public research universities in the
world? This is a time for you to share your ideas for elevating the
University to a new level of excellence, innovation, and progress.

both task forces. You can also provide feedback to each task force
committee through submission forms available on the site, found in the
