Assistant Vice Provost for Interdisciplinarity Jeanie Taylor is Assistant Vice Provost for Interdisciplinarity at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. With the Vice President for Research, the Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School, and the Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Education, Jeanie is a member of the Provost’s Interdisciplinary Team. The team has responsibility for developing a strategy for seeding, nurturing, sustaining, and assessing interdisciplinary research and education system-wide. In addition, Jeanie works with the President and Provost to develop academic— especially interdisciplinary— fundraising priorities. Before arriving at the University of Minnesota in 2000, Jeanie was Deputy Director of the Center for Advanced Study, a campus-wide interdisciplinary center at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her dissertation explored women’s life stories in everyday practice at the Bunting Institute at Radcliffe. She was editor, with Cheris Kramarae and Maureen Ebben, of Women, Information Technology, and Scholarship, University of Illinois, 1993. |
