Assistant to the Provost Jon's background is in academic policy, communications, with a special interest in institutional change. He studied philosophy and law in Canada and has worked for the Kennedy School of Government and for the president's office at Harvard University where, among other things, he was part of strategic planning efforts. His recent work for Provost Sullivan has included drafting "The Importance of a Diverse Faculty," writing and researching parts of the strategic positioning document and other strategic positioning work, developing a committee report and other material related to coordinate campuses (Crookston, Rochester) and several dean and director searches. He and his wife (who teaches in CLA's psychology department) moved to Minnesota in 2004. |
