Services
The Office of Space Management performs the following services:
- maintains a systemwide inventory of University space
- provides building and floor plan drawings that depict square footage, departmental assignments, space use, and other information
- performs space analyses in conformance with Minnesota Facilities Model (MFM) guidelines and tests programmatically driven "what if" scenarios
- supports the University's strategic planning initiatives (programmatic, financial, and physical) from the perspective of space needs and use
- assists in the development of programs for groups involved in capital projects and major relocations
- develops and updates the University's space classification codes in conformance with federal guidelines to support the institution's indirect cost recovery negotiations
