The goals of our New Faculty Orientation program are to:
- Build community and provide informal opportunities for interaction
- Provide practical resources that faculty will repeatedly use in their teaching, their research, and their daily University life
- Communicate importance of mentoring
- Provide faculty contacts for new faculty
- Demonstrate importance of high quality teaching and learning
- Welcome new faculty into the University’s community of scholars
- Promote healthy work-life balance
New Faculty Orientation took place August 19 to 21, 2008. Thank you to all of the presenters, volunteers, and staff who helped make this year's program successful. Also thank you to all of the new faculty who attended. Welcome to the University of Minnesota community!
