What are the University's responsibilities?

The University must assure that all required courses are made available to you in a timely way. This does NOT mean that every course you want will be available at the time you wish to take it. If you are required to take a course that we are unable to make available, we will, at our option, susbstitute another course for that requirement, OR give you priority registration for the next term, OR pay the tuition for you to take the course. The last option will be offered if you have to stay at the University longer than four years because of our inability to offer the appropriate course.

The University of Minnesota is an equal opportunity educator and employer.
